INFORMATION THAT MATTERS

Client wished to provide visibility to its customers, both internal and external of its capabilities to deliver products from A to B at post code level. Whilst this information was available from different systems, the time taken to provide the information using the existing manual method meant at times customers would use competitors as they were able to provide the information much faster resulting in revenue loss. Extelligence was asked to work with internal IT Resources to come up with a solution that can bring the vast amount of information together in one system and deliver the information to the requester in a matter of seconds.

INFORMATION THAT MATTERS

Client wished to introduce an enterprise ready Big Data platform for their Data Scientists Team, whose goal is to support a day-to-day network operations as well as marketing goals of the company with deeper business insights and predictive analysis. We were asked to supplement the internal IT Team with Big Data specialists and architects to deploy a Hadoop cluster, make it enterprise ready (in terms of user access control with respect to the up-coming GDPR deadline, system high availability, etc.), and develop data flows for ingesting required data into the cluster and make them available for the Data Scientists Team.

OUR APPROACH

  • Review and analyze functional requirements of the Data Scientists Team

  • Prepare an architectural blueprint of the HDP cluster

INFORMATION THAT MATTERS

The client, wished to create and deploy a data warehouse solution for two entities tasked with the sale and implementation of broadband solutions. Our team was included from the beginning of the project and participated in the initial stages of business requirements gathering and architecture planning. Once the system architecture was defined, we were in charge of developing the ETL layer, connecting and interfacing with source systems, implementing the data model based on desired KPI analysis and reporting requirements as well as platform deployment and presentation layer development.

The final output, made available through the presentation layer, empowered business users to have more insight into how various departments were operating and take business-critical decisions.

Client was looking at switching from current Machine Data / Log ingestion / Storage solution with integrated Security Event Information Management (Qradar) to a new   fully managed service with the opportunity to expand the service platform to include multiple other integrated security solutions / applications. An RFP was held and in partnership with Splunk HCL won the business for implementation and the managed service
