Responsibilities

• Adhering to SLAs
• Mentoring / Training /Grooming Team Members
• Handling tickets/requests
• Perform root cause analysis
• Troubleshooting technical issues
• Defining processes and ensuring that the processes are adhered to
• Oversees and is responsible for the successful completion of Installation, configuration, and migration
• Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
• Understanding of Multi-geo support environment
• Responsible for building/maintaining a test environment
• Responsible for strategizing a backup plan and test plan for a failure scenario
• Improves and maintains customer and employee satisfaction
• Suggests new technologies and design changes
• Monitoring and maintaining SLA requirements by the team members
• Planning Backup/Restoration Strategy for 24×7 operation support
• Suggesting patches/upgrades to maintain the security level
• Testing / Auditing/processes as required from time to time
• Identify Skill gaps and plan for training/knowledge updating

Technical Requirements

• Experts level knowledge of IBM MQ in design, installation, fix pack upgrade, migration, and configuration
• Experts level knowledge of MQ horizontal/vertical Clustering
• Implementing WMQ Clustering like RDQM, Uniform Cluster and Configuration of Multi-Instance (Workload Failover & DR) in MQ
• Planning and implementing maintenance activities, SSL certificate renewals, OS patching and MQ patching.
• Experienced in MQ migration from 8.x to 9.x in Linux, Windows, AIX environments.
• Configuration of WMQ for new Application Sites.
• Experienced in MQ hardening parameters and making system compliance assessments and detecting security vulnerabilities and resolving
• Execution of scripts for Queue Manager and Queues.
• Configuring production servers and creating required WMQ objects
• Reporting project status and updates to clients on weekly basis.
• Administering the queue managers that run MQ 8.x and 9.x on Linux, windows AIX systems.
• Working with MQ triggering and clustering.
• Onboarding new environment in Monitoring tool like ITM, TSOM , Splunk etc
• Complete maintenance and support.
• Monitoring and administration.
• Regular Health checks of the environment.

Qualifications

• B Tech, B.E, Degree Certificate
• Certification requirements: IBM Midrange MQ certification would be an advantage

Bonus Points

• Experience with Infrastructure Automation like a shell script, Ansible, JSON, Powershell or using other comparable tools
